Oak Island Adult Day Camp @ Oak Island, NC

Thought day camp is just for kids? Join Oak Island Parks and Recreation from June 18th to June 22nd as we experience the best recreational activities on Oak Island. This fun packed week is Oak Island’s first summer camp for adults, and will sell out! The week will be full of activities such as: Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP), Kayaking, Sailing, Learning the History of Oak Island, Lighthouse Tour, Fishing, and even playing a round of Pickleball. Pre-registration is required.

Adult Day Camp is for Ages 21 and Older $100 Town of Oak Island Residents & $150 Non-Residents. Registration begins May 1st, at 8 am, the Oak Island Recreation Center or online at oakisland.recdesk.com

Waterfront Farmers Market @ Fort Johnston-Southport Museum Lawn

You can browse the beautiful local produce, baked goods and handcrafted items spread under ancient live oak trees. There is a breeze off the river as well as music in the air as entertainment is always available.

The Southport Waterfront Market is held on the Fort Johnston Garrison Lawn every Wednesday morning from 8 am until 1 pm, May 2nd (first Wednesday in May) through August.

Ocean Isle Beach Scavenger HuntsCome join the fun with the Town of Ocean Isle Beach’s Scavenger Hunt! Our Scavenger Hunt Series kicks off for the season on Wednesday, June 13th at the Ocean Isle Beach Community Center. Registration is from 10:00 – 10:30 am. Kids will be given a tote bag and clue sheet to search for prizes around the island. All children must have a responsible party to accompany them. This event is FREE!

Rachel is an amazing certified yoga instructor all the way from Asheville, NC, and has already been getting to know our Oak Island instructors. So come on out next Monday or Wednesday at 5 pm, and let’s give her our very best Oak Island Yogi welcome!

Sunset Beach Summer Market @ Sunset Beach Town Park

Hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  We look forward to seeing you there.

This market was created to provide local growers and artisans a venue to sell their goods to customers, to encourage the use of local farm products, locally prepared foods and to enhance the quality of life in our communities by providing social gathering and interaction.

We encourage residents and visitors to attend our markets and connect with our various crafters and growers who enhance our local communities.
