Question: What North Carolina Island is south of the SC Capitol?
Answer: There are actually five of them!
Starting at the South Carolina border there is: Sunset Beach, NC just to the east is Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, Oak Island and Bald Head Island.
All five of these islands are located farther to the south than Columbia, SC – the capitol of South Carolina!
All five are in the northernmost sub-tropical region on the East Coast! Here palm trees, hibiscus, banana trees and other tropical flora flourish in the unusually temperate climate.
They also offer some of the most beautiful, powder sand beaches you’ll ever see – beaches with a family atmosphere – great for beach vacations and romantic getaways. Oh and they are surrounded by dozens of the best golf courses in the country!
