In the southernmost corner of Coastal NC, stretching from Wrightsville Beach, Wilmington, NC and the Cape Fear River to the South Carolina border, lies Coastal NC’s Mainland Towns and Island Beaches. Here barrier islands provide secluded spots on pristine beaches for families and nature-lovers.

NC’s Brunswick Islands are a group of barrier islands separated from the mainland by the Intra-Coastal Waterway. Sunset BeachOcean Isle BeachHolden BeachOak IslandCaswell Beach and Bald Head Island all lie in the northernmost sub-tropical region on the East Coast.

Quaint island and mainland towns beckon with friendly faces and family-owned B&Bs, restaurants and shops. Forts, lighthouses, historic architecture as well as boating, fishing and 30 golf courses offer plenty to do and see. Reminiscent of yesteryear’s beach vacation, thousands of families fall so in love with the area that they return year after year, generation after generation.

Located along the southern Coastal NC, midway between Wilmington, N.C. and Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Brunswick Islands are located to the south of every major city in S.C. except for Myrtle Beach and Charleston!
